I didn't cook this weekend. I cooked dinner thirteen nights in a row, and I told Roy we were going out for dinner on Saturday. We went to a new restaurant in the Loop. We still managed to eat some food from Fair Shares.
On Saturday, Roy ate his leftover trout and kresta pasta with kale from his lunch on Friday. I was out running errands, so I grabbed lunch out. I did have a little snack when I got home, using the Kreta Reserve olive oil and some gouda cheese.
For Sunday, we met up with Roy's family to take his mom out for lunch for Mother's Day. That was our main meal of the day, but Roy and his mom also had some tortilla chips from our week 2 share. Then they had the remaining strawberries and strawberry poundcake. :-)
Dinner was a chicken salad wrap using the tortilla and lettuce from Fair Shares. My wrap (in the second picture below) used the romaine lettuce we got in the first week, and it was still green and crispy. (I bought prepared chicken salad at Straub's; we didn't make it ourselves.)
We gave my mother-in-law some lettuce and mint, because we didn't think we'd get through it all.
